Department Introduction
Interventional department is a department specializing in interventional diagnosis and treatment of peripheral diseases. It started its work in 1994 and was established independently in 1997. It is the earliest department specializing in interventional diagnosis and treatment in the province. It has excellent equipment and strong technical force. Most of the interventional treatment projects in the world have been carried out by our department, and some of them have filled technical gaps in the province. There are interventional catheter room, interventional clinic and interventional ward with more than 20 beds open. Zhao Chuanlin was appointed Director of Intervention Department.
The department has 2 sets of large digital subtraction angiography machines (c-arm), 1 set of radioactive particle implantation planning system, 1 set of argon-helium cryosurgery system (argon-helium knife), and 1 set of color doppler ultrasound machine produced by Siemens.
Over the past 20 years, more than 50 new technology projects have been developed, which have achieved remarkable results in the treatment of various peripheral vascular and non-vascular diseases. More than 50 papers have been published in periodicals at or above the provincial level, 8 patents have been obtained, 4 scientific research achievements have been obtained and 2 are under research.
Interventional medicine is a brand-new high-tech subject. It uses special slender instruments to diagnose and treat diseases directly through natural or artificial channels under the surveillance of video and television. It has the advantages of remarkable effect, immediate effect, slight trauma and no pain. The advantages are that the previously considered incurable or refractory diseases have effective treatment means, and many patients are relieved of the pain of surgery and organ loss. At present, the development of interventional medicine is extremely rapid and has a very broad prospect. It has been recognized as the third largest medical tool in addition to internal medicine and surgical medicine.
